A new system of reporting for all Melchizedek Priesthood quorums and groups was announced during the just-completed general conference, reported the Oct. 28, 1944, issue of the Church News.
The program was to become effective Jan. 1, 1945. It included several new forms that were designed to better help priesthood leaders in their responsibilities.
The new forms included the quarterly group report, the quarterly quorum report, the stake Melchizedek Priesthood report, a master roll and a confidential annual report.
Explained the article: "Hereafter, all Melchizedek Priesthood reports and statistical material should be sent to the Melchizedek Priesthood Committee of the Council of the Twelve, and no further reporting of such material should be made to the Presiding Bishop's office as formerly.
"Stake committees are to audit and prepare a composite quarterly report which will be used by General Authorities in their visits to the various quarterly conferences."
