Hyrum and Reta Johnson

Married 70 years ago on Oct. 29, 1924, in the Salt Lake Temple. Both were born in Mexico. They met in Blanding, Utah, and lived most of their married lives in Santa Maria and Santa Paula, Calif. He worked for Union Oil Co., and served as bishop and stake patriarch. She sang in the Tabernacle Choir, filled many Church callings and is known for her needlework. Members of the Park Seville Ward, Orem Utah Park Stake. Three of their children and spouses are currently serving full-time missions. Parents of five children, they have 23 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.
