Patricia Peterson Pinegar of Provo, Utah, was sustained Saturday, Oct. 1, as Primary general president. She previously served as second counselor in the Young Women general presidency.
Sustained as first and second counselors, respectively, were Anne Goalen Wirthlin, Salt Lake City, and Susan Lillywhite Warner of Provo, Utah.Released as Primary general president was Michaelene P. Grassli, along with her counselors, Betty Jo N. Jepsen and Ruth B. Wright. They had served as the Primary general presidency since April 1988.
Patricia Peterson Pinegar, born in Cedar City, Utah, served on the Primary general board from September 1991 to April 1992. Previously, she served with her husband, Ed J. Pinegar, when he was president of the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, and of the England London South Mission.
Sister Pinegar has been ward and stake Primary president and teacher; ward Relief Society president, counselor and teacher; ward Young Women president and teacher; and a counselor in a stake Young Women presidency. She has also served as PTA president. A member of the Oak Hills 6th Ward, Provo Utah Oak Hills Stake, Sister Pinegar and her husband are the parents of eight children.
Anne Goalen Wirthlin is a native of Salt Lake City. At the time of her call to the Primary general presidency, she was a member of the Young Women general board, to which she was called in 1993. Previously, she had served with her husband, David B. Wirthlin, when he was president of the Germany Frankfurt Mission. She has also been a ward Relief Society and Primary president and counselor in a ward Young Women presidency.
She and her husband are the parents of six children. They are members of the Monument Park 17th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park North Stake.
Susan Lillywhite Warner was born in Salt Lake City but reared in Anaheim, Calif. She has been a member of the Primary general board since 1992. She previously was stake Primary president, ward Young Women president, Relief Society president, and Sunday school and Primary teacher.
She and her husband, C. Terry Warner, are the parents of 10 children. They are members of the Oak Hills 1st Ward, Provo Utah Oak Hills Stake.
