Two new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. They and their wives have begun their service. The new mission presidents and where they are serving are:
Mac R. Call, 64, Peru Lima South Mission, succeeded Pres. Victor Ramon Villasmil who was released for employment reasons; El Paso 5th Ward, El Paso Texas Mt. Franklin Stake; former family history missionary, high councilor, bishop, bishop's counselor, and Scoutmaster; business supervisor; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in Colonia Dublan, Mexico, to Charles Helaman and Hannah Skousen Call; married Carol Elizabeth Clark, six children. She is former family history missionary, counselor in stake Primary presidency, Young Women president, Primary president, seminary teacher, and Relief Society instructor; received bachelor's degree from University of Texas-El Paso; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bryant Randall and Reta Jane Brown Clark.Faustino Lopez R., 43, Spain Malaga Mission, succeeded Pres. James Leonard Shurtleff who was released for health reasons; Madrid 2nd Ward, Madrid Spain Stake; former counselor in mission presidency, stake president, high councilor, bishop, branch president, elders quorum president, and Sunday School president; Church Educational System director for Spain and Portugal; received bachelor's and master's degrees from Madrid University; born in Madrid, Spain, to Faustino and Vuana Requena Lopez; married Maria Consuelo Alcala, five children. She is a family history assistant; former Primary president, counselor in Relief Society presidency, Relief Society teacher, and chorister; born in Madrid, Spain, to Gregorio and Francisca Julia Perez Alcala.
