Milestones of togetherness

Vera and Joseph A. BrownMarried 70 years ago on Dec. 4, 1924, in the Alberta Temple in Cardston, Alberta. He served a mission in Samoa, and later a short-term mission in the Eastern States. They farmed in Canada, then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was a car salesman, and lived a few years in Arco, Idaho, where they operated a motel. She spent many years teaching Primary and doing visiting teaching. Members of the St. George (Utah) 2nd Ward. Parents of six children, they have 32 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Goldie and Theodocia Garner

Married 70 years ago on Dec. 4, 1924, in Payette, Idaho, and sealed in the Logan Temple eight years after his baptism. He operated a feed store and sheared sheep for nearly 70 years. He served in the seventies quorum and high priest group leadership and was a faithful home teacher. She was a homemaker, served in the Sunday School and as a visiting teacher, providing many hours of compassionate service to others. Members of the Boise 7th Ward, Boise Idaho South Stake. Parents of nine grandchildren, they have 20 great-grandchildren.
