Ronald R. Burke, 64, president of the Florida Tampa Mission since last July, died Nov. 23, 1994.
He was the first president of the Toledo Ohio Stake, which was created in 1980. He had a career in the oil business and served as seismologist, geophysicist, exploration manager and vice president of exploration for various oil companies in North Africa, Australia, Ohio and Texas. He retired in 1985. He later taught geology at BYU, and in 1990 became the director of career services at the Marriott School of Management at BYU.- Eldon K. Linshoten, 68, director of photography for the Church for 20 years, died Nov. 27, 1994. He often traveled with Church leaders, including the president of the Church. A high priest, he served in many callings and was often asked to speak in Church meetings about his experiences.
Before being employed by the Church he was the advertising photographer for Auerbach Company for 25 years. He won several awards for his photographic achievements.
