Seven new stakes have been created in Brazil.
Elder Harold G. Hillam of the Seventy created four new stakes and Elder Dallas N. Archibald, also of the Seventy, created three new stakes.Elder Hillam, president of the Brazil Area, created the Belo Horizonte Brazil West Stake, Canoas Brazil Stake, Caxias Do Sul Brazil and the Sao Leopoldo Brazil Stake. Elder Archibald, second counselor in the Brazil Area, created the Monte Cristo Brazil Stake, Sao Jose Brazil Stake and the Tubarao Brazil Stake.
The Belo Horizonte Brazil West Stake includes the Barroca, Pampulha, Pedro 2nd and Progresso wards, and the Aeroporto, Alvorada, Gutierrez, Lagoa, Nova Gameleira, Ribeirao Das Neves and Venda Nova branches.
The Canoas Brazil Stake includes the Canoas 1st, Esteio, Harmonia, Estancia Velha, Guajuviras, Mathias Velho and Sao Luiz wards.
The Caxias Do Sul Brazil Stake includes the Bela Vista, Bento Goncalves, Caxias Do Sul, Rio Branco and Moreira Cezar wards, and the Botafago and Gramado branches.
The Monte Cristo Brazil Stake includes the Barreiros, Bela Vista, Jardim das Acacias, Jardim Atlantico and Monte Cristo wards, and the Biguacu and Floresta branches.
The Sao Jose Brazil Stake includes the Fazenda do Max, Flor De Napolis, Kobrasol, Palhoca, Parque Pinheiros and Santa Clara wards, and the Forquilhinhas branch.
The Sao Leopoldo Brazil Stake includes the Duque, Feitoria 1st, Montenegro, Rio Dos Sinhos, Sao Leopoldo, Sapucaia do Sul and Timbauva wards, and the Feitoria 2nd and Lajeado branches.
The Tubarao Brazil Stake includes the Bairro Sao Joao, Criciuma 2nd and Imarui wards, and the Criciuma 1st, Icara and Prospera branches.
In addition, three stakes were reorganized in Brazil.
