'It's awesome the Lord knows each of us'

I would like to tell you about the peaceful happy feelings I have because I am a child of God. There are many times when I need to have answers to my prayers really quickly, and I know that I just have to go to the Lord in prayer and tell Him what my problem is.

One time I was sitting in my class at school. My teacher decided to give us a surprise quiz in science. I asked the Lord to help me pass the test, and when I finished my prayer I was very calm. I did very good on my grade.Another time at school, I was having a big problem with some of the older boys giving me a hard time about everything, and I didn't want to go to school. I went into my bedroom before my mom took me to school, and I asked the Lord to help me get through the day without those boys bothering me, and it was the first day they left me alone for a very long time. I know the Lord hears and answers the prayers of everyone no matter how young or old you are.

Sometimes when I think of all the millions of people in the world, I think it's awesome the Lord knows each and every one of us. My mother always tells me that Heavenly Father even knows when a little sparrow falls from a tree. That's a good feeling.

The other night I was playing at my friends' house. It was starting to get dark when I was walking home. My mom makes me call her, and if I'm not home within five to 10 minutes, she comes to meet me. As I was walking home, I was a little scared, but then I remembered that Heavenly Father is always there, and He will always watch over me. When I thought about that, I wasn't scared anymore. He really knows who James is and where I am and what I'm doing all the time.

My grandpa was very sick with lung cancer for a long time, and he died Feb. 10. His looks had changed a real lot in a short time. He wasn't a member of the Church, but he is still a child of God, and I know that Heavenly Father has provided a way for him to be taught the gospel in the next world because of all the temples here on the earth. My uncles and aunts don't understand the Lord's plan for us, and they are very sad, but I try to tell them where my grandpa has gone and that they'll see him again in the next world. I try to explain that life is a test.

I know that even though we have to hurt sometimes, the Lord loves us and won't forget us. Someday when I'm older I'm going to serve a mission and try to help people understand that the Lord knows each one of us and will never leave us. That's because each of us is a child of God no matter who we are or where we live.
