New mission presidents

The calling of six new mission presidents has been announced by the First Presidency. The new mission presidents and their wives are generally called for a three-year term of service that begins July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. They are:

Troy Lee Corriveau, 44, Arrowhead Ward, Glendale Arizona North Stake; high councilor; former counselor in stake presidency, bishop and counselor, and Sunday School teacher; business administrator/president of preschool; received bachelor's degree from University State of New York, doctor of chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic; born in Globe, Ariz., to Roland W. and Melba Roth Havins Corriveau; married I. Lynn Campbell, one child. She is gospel doctrine teacher; former stake Relief Society and Primary board member, ward Young Women president, Sunday School and Primary teacher, and seminary instructor; attended Dixie College; born in Fresno, Calif., to Clifford and Irma Russell Campbell.Colin H. Miller, 61, Bountiful 34th Ward, Bountiful Utah Heights Stake; Sunday School teacher; former high councilor, bishop, high priests group leader, elders quorum president, and ward Young Men president; vice president of funding corporation; received bachelors's degree from BYU; born in Taber, Alberta, to Douglas and Annie Elizabeth Harris; married Nancy Josephine Ladle, four children. She is a counselor in ward Primary presidency; former stake Relief Society secretary and teacher, ward Relief Society president and teacher, Primary teacher, counselor in ward Young Women presidency and Beehive adviser; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Ralph Burdette and Alice Harris Ladle.

Arthur L. Porter, 50, Cedar 16th Ward, Cedar City Utah West Stake; ward Young Men president; former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, ward Young Men president's counselor, and branch president's counselor; chairman of Southern Utah University business department; received bachelor's and master's degrees from Stanford University; born in Santa Rosa, Calif., to Arthur Child and Beth Sargent Porter; married Elaine Agren, six children. She is ward Relief Society president; former counselor in ward Relief Society and Young Women presidencies, homemaking leader, nursery leader, and Cub Scout Den Leader; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Carl Glen and Ila Hayes Agren.

Donald D. Salmon, 61, Whitemud Ward, Edmonton Alberta Riverbend Stake; regional representative; former patriarch, stake president, stake clerk, stake YMMIA superintendent, bishop and counselor; auditor general of Alberta; attended University of Alberta; born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to John Ross and Eva Dahl Salmon; married Gertrude Joyce Jacobs, four children. She is a stake family history consultant; former stake Relief Society secretary, ward Primary president and counselor, Relief Society counselor and teacher, Junior Sunday School coordinator; attended McTavish Business College; born in Cardston, Alberta, to Henry Chariton and Thelma Burnham Jacobs.

Donald P. Tenney, 53, El Cajon 5th Ward, El Cajon California Stake; counselor in stake presidency; former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop, bishop's counselor, and Scoutmaster; partner in CPA firm; received bachelor's degree from BYU and master's degree from University of Southern California; born in San Diego, Calif., to Harold Arthur and Dorothy Palmer; married Terry Ann Milne, 11 children. She is Beehive adviser; former ward Young Women president, Relief Society teacher, Laurel adviser, and Primary chorister; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in Sacramento, Calif., to David Spencer and Thair Smart Milne.

Ernest W. Westover, 57, Davis 1st Ward, Davis California Stake, counselor in California Santa Rosa Mission presidency; former mission president's counselor, stake president's counselor, stake mission president, stake Young Men president, bishop, and Scoutmaster; dentist; received DDS degree from University of Southern California; born in Logan, Utah, to Walter Reed and Myrtha Kent Westover; married Fran Pond, six children. She is a Sunday School teacher; former stake missionary, counselor in ward Young Women presidency and Laurel adviser, Relief Society teacher, Primary counselor, teacher, and chorister, and Cub Scout leader; received bachelor's degree from Utah State University; born in Logan, Utah, to Alma L. and Margaret Thomas Pond.
