Verna McCarl of the Slippery Rock Branch, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania North Stake, promotes ongoing learning in her family, which includes her husband, Scott, and their three children. Sister McCarl's efforts exemplify one of the purposes of the Church's Gospel Literacy Effort, which is "to encourage Church members to study the gospel and improve themselves and their families throughout their lives."
