The young single adult representative and the board member responsible for young single adults plan the transition of young women into Relief Society. They work under the direction of the Relief Society president and in cooperation with the Young Women president.
To help young women make this transition, the representative and board member and/or Relief Society president should visit the Laurel class and present a preview of Relief Society to the 17-year-old Laurels. This will help the young women get acquainted with their new leaders, recognize opportunities they will have to serve, and look forward to becoming members of the Relief Society.- Relief Society Handbook, p. 4
