An atmosphere of peace and promise filled the Tabernacle on Temple Square as conference-goers and Church leaders filled the historic building Saturday, April 2, for the Saturday morning session of the 164th Annual General Conference of the Church.

Along with those in the Tabernacle, hundreds of others listened to proceedings in the Assembly Hall, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and on the grounds of Temple Square.

Aptly describing the beautiful, spring day outside was a rendition of the hymn, "Oh, How Lovely Was the Morning," sung by a Relief Society choir from the Olympus Utah Region. The choir was directed by Bonnie M. Winterton; Bonnie Goodliffe accompanied.

President Thomas S. Monson, second counselor in the First Presidency, conducted the session. Offering the invocation and benediction were Elders John K. Carmack and Jorge A. Rojas of the Seventy, respectively.
