Two new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. They and their wives will begin their service about July 1. The new mission presidents and where they will serve are:
Carl D. Warren, 59, Singapore Mission; Mountain View Ward, Scottsdale Arizona Stake; former counselor in the France Paris Mission, high councilor, counselor in bishopric, high priests group leader, and Primary teacher; professor at Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management; received bachelor's degree from the University of Utah; born in Ogden, Utah, to Glen and Mabel Christina Clark Warren; married Laura Lee Smith, three children. She is a former counselor and secretary in stake Relief Society presidency, Relief Society president and counselor, counselor in Young Women and Primary presidencies, Young Women and Primary teacher; born in Murray, Utah, to Elwin William Charles and Ella Waterson Getty Smith.Kay R. Whitmore, 61, England London South Mission; Pittsford Ward, Rochester New York Palmyra Stake; counselor in New York Rochester Mission; former regional representative, stake president and counselor, and bishop; former chairman and chief executive officer of Eastman Kodak Company; received bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and master's degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Rex G. and Ferrol Terry Smith Whitmore; married Yvonne Schofield, six children. She is a Primary teacher; former stake Young Women sports director, stake and ward Young Adult adviser, Young Women and Primary president, and counselor in Relief Society presidency; received bachelor's degree from Utah State University; born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Cutler and Edith Michel Schofield.
