'Celebrating the Light' returns to Promised Valley Playhouse

The popular musical production, "Celebrating the Light," will open this summer's theater season at the Promised Valley Playhouse June 23. It will run through Sept. 3.

Writer/composer Michael McLean and director David Tinney created the contemporary musical for family audiences. It consists of a series of vignettes relating to self-esteem, personal values and historical events. The show displays choreography, songs and dialogue."We are particularly excited about the show for this summer," Brother Tinney said.

"We have made some colorful changes and additions including two new songs by Michael McLean, who composed the music and wrote the show. We believe it will be most exciting to those who may have seen previous shows as well as for those who are seeing it for the first time."

Playhouse general manager Murray Rawson said: "Patrons will see new faces and fresh personalities, bringing a new element and a new dimension to the show. This is an exciting production, and in addition, it is sparkling entertainment."
