Aaronic Priesthood bearers can give both spiritual and temporal service. Spiritual service includes the administration of the sacrament, performing home teaching, fellowshiping less-active quorum members, preparing others for baptism, and doing temple and family history work. Temporal service includes gathering fast offerings, cleaning the meetinghouse and caring for the grounds, and helping the bishop care for the poor and needy, as well as being helpful in his own home. Quorum instruction should teach young men how to use the priesthood in serving others, and quorum activities should give them opportunities to serve.
