"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience, and experience, hope;And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." - Rom. 5:3-5
I find strength and comfort in reading the words of Apostle Paul. He trusted in the Lord despite the thorn in his side. This scripture has become a personal motto in my life.
The past year our family faced many challenges. Blessings of comfort from the Holy Ghost and strengthened testimonies far outweighed our greatest challenge.
The greatest test for our family came in February, when our fifth child was born to us, then went to the celestial kingdom the same day. We felt great peace and love from Heavenly Father and His Son, as the Holy Ghost comforted us day and night, and the sweetness of our son's presence became familiar to us.
My love for my Savior has grown. I know that the resurrection is sure, that families are forever. I know that our son is serving Heavenly Father, and that is our calling, too.
I find great joy in bearing my testimony in fast meetings, in teaching my Valiants, in building love and knowledge of the Savior in my family, and in serving with the sister missionaries.
Our family has a wonderful opportunity for missionary service among relatives, friends and neighbors. The desire to be with our son strengthens our witness for Christ.
