Members of the First Presidency pose for their first formal photograph together since President Howard W. Hunter, center, became Church president on June 5. With President Hunter are his first counselor, President Gordon B. Hinckley, left, and his second counselor, President Thomas S. Monson.
President Hunter served in the Council of the Twelve for nearly 35 years before he was ordained and set apart as the 14th president of the Church. President Hinckley and President Monson previously served as counselors to President Ezra Taft Benson.
