The elders quorum president and high priests group leader consult with the bishopric for approval to call quorum or group members as home teachers. These priesthood leaders also counsel with the bishopric when assigning home teachers to the families for which the quorum or group is responsible.
Quorum and group leaders supervise, motivate, and train the home teachers under their direction. The best opportunities for doing this are in priesthood meetings, where reminders and instructions may be given, and in monthly home teaching interviews.In these interviews, a member of the quorum presidency or group leadership meets with the senior member of each home teaching companionship. . . .
