The policy of the Church is that young women will not be registered in Latter-day Saint Explorer Posts (see Young Women Camp Manual [34573], p. 52; and the Scouting Handbook, [30823], p. 32). The official program for young women is outlined in the Young Women Leadership Handbook [33750]. The Young Women program provides instruction and activities designed to help young women learn and live the gospel. Recognition is given to young women through Personal Progress. Midweek activities provide opportunities for service and for developing leadership, cultural, and social skills. High adventure activities can be part of the camp experience, or they can be scheduled at other times.
