On an isolated island in the South Pacific, Sister Iyvanna Alvarez is among the faithful youth reared in the shadow of the 103-year-old Takaroa meetinghouse, the oldest in the South Pacific.
Sister Alvarez, who since this photo was taken has reported for full-time missionary service in Tahiti, is among those who have learned to deal with the challenge of living in a branch far from established wards and the headquarters of the Church. The story is on page 4.
