When I read the scriptures, I get a warm feeling inside me, and I feel happy and know Jesus is with me and loves me. Reading the scriptures is important to me. I don't get any sleep without reading the scriptures. It makes me feel that I'm being watched and I know that I'm doing the right thing.
My sister, Vivi, had problems at school because people called her names. One Sunday, we found an answer to her problem in Matt. 26:67: "Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands." In Luke 23:34: "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them." And that's how we found the answer to my sister's problems at school. When I read the scriptures, I learn more and more and find more answers to my questions. Without the scriptures, we wouldn't attend Church or have much faith, but everyone who reads the scriptures will be blessed by Jesus Christ. When I read the scriptures, I feel peace and joyful inside me. When I read the scriptures, I know the writings in it are true.
Without the scriptures, we would be wandering, looking for what was true or what was wrong, but with the scriptures, we don't need to wander for the truth any more. When I read David and Goliath, I knew it was one of my favorite stories because I liked when David saw Goliath and had no fear of him and was willing to challenge Goliath, not because of riches or precious jewels, but because Goliath stood for evil and David knew God was with him. I also like the two thousand warriors in the Book of Mormon because they were brave and righteous young men and stood for liberty. When I read the scriptures, I get excited because I color pictures in my head and imagine how it would be in that time.
