Official policies and announcements

Priesthood and auxiliary leaders should help to develop quality teaching in the home and in the quorums and organizations of the Church as outlined in Instructions for Priesthood and Auxiliary Leaders on Teacher Development (35028). Ward councils should discuss quality teaching frequently. The teacher development coordinator can serve as a valuable resource in the ward. In conjunction with the teacher development coordinator, priesthood and auxiliary leaders should regularly visit classrooms to support and help teachers. Such visits should first be coordinated with the teachers. The ward teacher development coordinator also conducts a quarterly teacher training meeting, which all teachers in the ward should attend.
