New stake presidencies

Elder Julio E. Davila of the Seventy has created the Arequipa Peru Selva Alegre Stake, which includes the Alto Misti, Alto Selva Alegre, Central, Graficos, Miraflores, and Villa Hermoza wards, and Apurimac, Independencia, Porvenir, and Puente Arnao branches.

Elsewhere, stakes were reorganized in Japan and Tonga, and in California, Idaho and Utah.

AREQUIPA PERU SELVA ALEGRE STAKE: (July 24, 1994) Created from the Arequipa Peru Umacollo, Arequipa Peru Manuel Prado, and Arequipa Peru Central stakes. President - Elias Alberto Rebaza Rado, 46, production supervisor, former stake president's counselor, stake clerk, elders quorum president, and Sunday School president, married Maria Adalzahinda Atanacio Zevallos. Counselors - Pedro Jose Nunez Yukimura, 33, systems operator, former stake mission president, bishop, ward clerk, ward mission leader, and elders quorum president, married Rosa Glave Rojas; Jose Francisco Minaya Espinoza, farmer, former stake mission president, and bishop and counselor, married Ana Maria Milagros Andrade Lozano.
