Women 18 years and older are invited to attend the General Relief Society Meeting Saturday, Sept. 24, which will originate from the Tabernacle on Temple Square at 6 p.m. (MDT).
Speaking during the meeting will be President Howard W. Hunter and members of the Relief Society general presidency - Elaine L. Jack and her counselors, Chieko N. Okazaki and Aileen H. Clyde.The General Relief Society Meeting will be telecast over the Church's satellite network to meetinghouses in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, West Indies, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. The proceedings will be shown again at 8 p.m. (MDT) over the satellite network and over KBYU-TV.
Relief Society sisters are encouraged to invite friends of other faiths and those who are less-active to attend the telecast.
