New stakes have been organized in Brazil, Chile and Sweden.
President Thomas S. Monson, first counselor in the the First Presidency, has created the Stockholm Sweden South Stake, which includes the Gubbangen, Hagersten, Handen, Norrkoping and Vasterhaninge wards, and the Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, Linkoping, Nacka, Nynaeshamn and Sodertalje branches. The Maringa Brazil Stake, created by Elder W. Craig Zwick, including the Apucarana, Campo Mourao, Cianorte, Maringa 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Sarandi and Umuarama wards, and the Europa branch.
The Santiago Chile Las Araucarias Stake, created by Elder John B. Dickson of the Seventy. Las Acacias, Las Araucarias, Los Castanos, Los Robles and Navidad wards are included in this stake.
