Five new stakes, two in Latin America and three in the United States, were created on Sunday, Nov. 17. The new stakes are in Mexico and Uruguay, and in Tennessee and Utah.
The Knoxville Tennessee Cumberland Stake, which includes the Clinch River, Grove Park, Jamestown, Morristown and Oak Ridge wards, and the Cumberland Gap, La Follette and Whitley City branches, was created by Elder John K. Carmack of the Seventy.The Montevideo Uruguay Flores Stake, which includes the Las Acacias, Montevideo 3rd, 6th, 9th, 11th, 12th and 15th wards, and the Cerrito branch, was created by Elder John B. Dickson of the Seventy.
The Orem Utah Heatheridge Stake, which includes the Heatheridge 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th wards, was created by Elder Dennis B. Neuenschwander of the Seventy.
The Provo Utah Grandview East Stake, which includes the Grandview 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 11th wards, was created by Elder Jack H Goaslind of the Seventy.
The San Nicolas Mexico Stake, which includes the Los Robles, Nicolas Bravo, San Nicolas, Santo Domingo and Vicente Guerrero wards, and the Sabinas Hidalgo branch, was created by Elder Andrew W. Peterson of the Seventy.
Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Japan and in North Carolina and Utah.
