New stakes have been created in Iowa, New York and in Utah.
The Sioux City Iowa Stake has been created by Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve. The new stake includes the Norfolk, Sioux City 1st, 2nd and 3rd wards, and the Macy, O'Neill, Sheldon, Spencer, Storm Lake, Vermillion and Yankton branches.The Utica New York Stake, which includes the Carthage, Rome, Utica, and Watertown wards, and the Fort Plain, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lowville, Norwich, Oneida, and Oneonta branches, has been created by Elder Vaughn J Featherstone of the Seventy.
In Utah, the American Fork Utah Hillcrest Stake has been created by Elder Carlos E. Asay of the Presidency of the Seventy, and the West Jordan Utah Jordan Oaks Stake has been created by Elder Alexander B. Morrison of the Seventy. Included in the new American Fork Hillcrest stake are the American Fork 3rd, 23rd, and 27th, and Hillcrest 2nd, 3rd and 4th wards. Included in the new Jordan Oaks stake in West Jordan are Jordan Oaks 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th wards, and the Jordan Oaks 9th branch.
Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Korea, and in Arizona, California, Florida, South Dakota and Utah.
