New stake presidencies

Five new stakes have been created, two in Tonga, two in Utah and one in Argentina.

The Bariloche Argentina Stake has been created by Elder John B. Dickson of the Seventy. The new stake includes the Bariloche Alto 1st, and 2nd, Bariloche Centro, El Bolson and Esquel wards, and the Bariloche Los Pioneros, El Frutillar, San Martin De Los Andes and Trevelin branches.The Eua Tonga Stake, which includes theOhonua, Haatua 1st and 2nd, Pangai, Tongamama wards, and the Houma branch, has been created by Elder Monte J. Brough of the Presidency of the Seventy.

The Hurricane Utah West Stake, which includes the Hurricane 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 11th wards, has been created by Elder Stephen D. Naduald of the Seventy.

The Nukualofa Tonga Haakame Stake has been created by Elder Lowell D. Wood of the Seventy. The new stake includes the Haakame, Houma 1st, and 2nd, and Matahau 1st and 2nd wards, and the Haalalo, Utulau, and Vaotu`u branches.

The Spanish Fork Utah East Stake, which includes the Canyon, Canyon Ridge, Crosswinds 2nd, Meadowlark 1st and 2nd, Spanish Fork 17th and 18th, and Spanish Ridge wards and the Birdseye branch has been created by Elder Joe J. Christensen of the Presidency of the Seventy.

Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Brazil, Chile, England, Mexico, Samoa, Switzerland and Tonga, and in Idaho, Utah, and Texas.

BARILOCHE ARGENTINA STAKE: (Feb. 25, 1996) Created from the Bariloche Argentina District. EUA TONGA STAKE: (Feb. 25, 1996) Created from the Nukualofa Tonga Stake. President - Tuifio Finau, 34, self-employed in motor engineering; wife, Kaloni Folau Finau. HURRICANE UTAH WEST STAKE: (March 10, 1996) Created from the Hurricane Utah Stake. President - Scott W. Colton, 45, vice president of commercial banking center for Zions 1st National Bank; wife, Colleen Moncur Colton. Counselors - Gary C. Bolingbroke, 37, employed in wholesale operations for Wal-Mart; wife, Kolleen Kezerian Bolingbroke. Randall M. Smart, 42, president of Smart Enterprises; wife, Allyn Ash Smart.

NUKUALOFA TONGA HAAKAME STAKE: (March 10, 1996) Created from the Nukualofa Tonga Liahona and Nukualofa Tonga West stakes. President - Sosaia Lehonitai Mateaki, 49, planation manager at Liahona High School; wife, Fatai Moe Manu Halangahu Mateaki. Counselors - Tevita T. Funaki, 44, self-employed carpenter and farmer; wife, Sela Fosita Funaki. Sione Ikaee Fa`ulao, 49, assistant temple engineer; wife, Seilose Tayo Faulafo.

SPANISH FORK UTAH EAST: (March 10, 1996) Created from the Spanish Fork Utah and Spanish Fork Utah South stakes.
