Anna Fugal Bailey, 77, member of the Primary general board from 1970 to 1975, died July 23, 1996. Sister Bailey also sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir from 1968-1978, and was a hostess in the Church Office Building from 1977-1986. She served a full-time mission to New England before her marriage to Loile Bailey and served missions with her husband at visitors centers at the New Zealand, Los Angeles and Mesa temples.
Dorothy Candland Woodruff, 86, member of the Primary General Board from 1972 to 1974, died July 31, 1996, in Los Gatos, Calif. Sister Woodruff was a former director of curriculum for the West Covina School District in California, professor of education at the University of Oregon, member of a USAID team from the University of Utah and was head of the Elementary Education Department at the Haile Sellasie I University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her first husband, Don, died in 1946. She served with her second husband, Asahel Woodruff, in the Hill Cumorah Visitors Center in Palmyra, N.Y.
