Margaret D. Nadauld of Bountiful, Utah, was sustained Saturday, Oct. 4, as Young Women general president. She has been serving as a member of the Relief Society General Board.
Sustained as first and second counselors, respectively, were Carol B. Thomas of Salt Lake City and Sharon G. Larsen of Farmington, Utah.Released as Young Women general president was Janette Hales Beckham, along with her counselors, Virginia H. Pearce and Sister Thomas. Sister Thomas has been serving as second counselor since last April. Sisters Beckham and Pearce had been serving as general president and first counselor, respectively, since April 1992.
Margaret D. Nadauld, a native of Manti, Utah, has served as a ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president and counselor, ward and stake Primary counselor and teacher in the auxiliaries.
She has also served as president of the Utah Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and vice president of the Utah Chapter of American Mothers Inc. She also taught English and speech at high schools in the Salt Lake Valley and in the Boston, Mass., area. Members of the Mueller Park 5th Ward, Bountiful Utah Mueller Park Stake, she and her husband, Stephen D. Nadauld, who served from 1991-96 in the Second Quorum of the Seventy, are the parents of seven children.
Carol B. Thomas, a native of Salt Lake City, has served on the Relief Society General Board, as stake Young Women president, Relief Society officer and teacher and primary chorister.
She and her husband, D. Ray Thomas, are members of the Holladay 28th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake. They are the parents of seven children.
Sharon G. Larsen, a native of Glenwood, Alberta, has served as a member of the Young Women General Board, stake Young Women president, stake and ward Relief Society president, and Sunday School teacher. She has also been a seminary and institute of religion teacher.
She has been a school teacher in Utah and Missouri and a writer for a series of instructional television programs. Members of the Farmington 9th Ward, Farmington Utah South Stake, she and her husband, Ralph T. Larsen, are the parents of two children.
