I was teaching the 7- and 8-year-old Primary children in my ward about the three degrees of glory.
The telestial kingdom was compared to raw cake batter. The children agreed that could make a delicious treat. The terrestrial kingdom was likened to a baked cake. The children decided this would be more tasty than the batter.
The celestial kingdom was the beautiful finished cake, with icing, lovely trimmings and decorations.
Just as I finished illustrating the point on the blackboard and felt the principle had been taught, one child spoke up and said: "But teacher, I don't like icing."
