Inside the Beehive House in Salt Lake City visitors can learn about Brigham Young, the home's first owner, and his pioneer efforts as the Church's second prophet.
The historic site, located on the block east of Temple Square, is also a popular site during Christmas season, when its festive decorations reflect a bit of history. This December, the front office of the house will be decorated for children, the rest of the house with 19th century Christmas traditions and the formal reception area with a Victorian motif.Usually more than 160,000 people visit the historic site each year. However, Margaret Adams, Beehive House director, said more than that have already visited the site this year. After December, a month when the site seems to be most popular, she believes 1998 will be counted as one of the biggest years for the site.
