This scripture always touches my heart. I have grown to love the hymns over my years of service in the Church. I feel next to the scriptures, they have been sent from God to help bring us to Him.
My father was one of 13 children born to convert parents from Denmark. His mother and father had two little girls at the time of their introduction to the gospel. One day they were walking down a street in Copenhagen when they heard some voices singing and were attracted to the elders on a street corner singing "O My Father."
They went over to listen and the Spirit urged them to stay and learn the message that was given. It was just a short time before they were baptized and immigrated to Utah.
How can I be grateful enough for that hymn and the missionaries who sang it? My entire life has been blessed because of the faith of good grandparents and parents and the great hymns that first touched their hearts.
