During the Saturday morning session of general conference, President Gordon B. Hinckley announced that since the first of this year eight temples have been dedicated with another seven scheduled for dedication before the end of the year.
Temples dedicated this year are:
Anchorage Alaska, Jan. 9-10
Colonia Juarez Mexico, March 6-7
Madrid Spain, March 19-21
Bogota Colombia, April 24-26
Guayaquil Ecuador, Aug. 1-2
Spokane Washington, Aug. 21-23
Columbus Ohio, Sept. 4-5
Bismarck North Dakota, Sept. 19
Temples to be dedicated before the end of the year include:
Columbia South Carolina, Oct. 16-17
Detroit Michigan, Oct. 23-24
Halifax Nova Scotia, Nov. 13
Regina Saskatchewan, Nov. 14
Billings Montana; Nov. 20-21
Edmonton Alberta, Dec. 11-12
Raleigh North Carolina, Dec. 18-19
President Hinckley also announced that ground will be broken this month for the rebuilding of the Nauvoo Temple.
