Pertinent facts: Announced April 14, 1999; groundbreaking May 29, 1999; open house held June 26-July 1, 2000, with 10,067 attending; dedicated in four sessions July 9, 2000, by President Thomas S. Monson, first counselor in the First Presidency; with 5,171 attending.
