Pertinent facts: Announced April 2, 2000, by President Gordon B. Hinckley; groundbreaking Oct. 28, 2000; open house, Oct. 27-Nov. 10, 2001, except Sundays with 64,634 people attending; dedicated Nov. 18, 2001, by President Gordon B. Hinckley with 14, 819 in attendance.
