Missions created in Washington and Mexico City

Two new missions — one in the state of Washington and one in Mexico City — have been created to handle the growth of the Church in those areas.

The Washington Everett Mission, in the North America Northwest Area, was created by reorganizing the Washington Seattle Mission and the Washington Tacoma Mission. The new mission comprises much of the area of the former Washington Seattle Mission from near the Seattle Washington Temple to the Canadian border to the north.

The Washington Everett Mission includes nearly 34,000 members within the 10 stakes of Bellingham, Bothell, Everett, Kirkland, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mount Vernon, Redmond, Seattle Shoreline and Snohomish stakes.

The realigned Washington Seattle Mission comprises 36,000 members with 10 stakes, and the Washington Tacoma Mission includes 36,000 members within 11 stakes.

In the Mexico South Area, the Mexico Mexico City West Mission was created by reorganizing three missions; the Mexico Mexico City North Mission, the Mexico Mexico City South Mission, the Mexico Mexico City East Mission.

The new mission comprises an area west of Mexico City created principally from the North and South missions. There are about 9 million residents in the new mission.

The new Mexico Mexico City West Mission includes nearly 40,000 members in the 13 stakes of Arbolillo, Camarones, Chapultepec, Cuautepec, Culturas, Ermita, Linda Vista, Lomas Verdes, Tacubaya, Tlalnepantla, Valle Dorado, Zarahemla and Toluca Mexico.

The newly aligned Mexico Mexico City North Mission includes 42,000 members in 14 stakes; the Mexico Mexico City South Mission includes 42,000 members in 14 stakes, the Mexico Mexico City East Mission includes 44,000 members in 14 stakes.info was included in previous paragraph
