Family: Born Oct. 6, 1939, in Ogden, Utah, to Rulon P. and Naomi Skeen Peterson; married Joan Jensen, daughter of Ronald and Delores Jensen, in the Logan Utah Temple on July 20, 1962; six children, Linda Connelly, Jill Reese, Judith Campbell, David, Kathryn Brimley, and Paul; 16 grandchildren.
Education: Received bachelor's degree in finance and MBA degree from Utah State University.
Employment: Self-employed real estate developer, Homeland Properties, 1988-present; vice president of marketing, then president and chairman of the board, Consolidated Capital Corp., 1970-1985; Peterson Bros. Herefords, 1963-69.
Church service: Area Authority Seventy since 1995, president of Oakland California Mission from 1985-88, stake president, bishop, high councilor, Scoutmaster, gospel doctrine teacher and full-time missionary in Australia.
