Church provides new roof

AMARILLO, Texas — Church members here presented on June 13 more than $13,000 in Church humanitarian funds to Eveline's Sunshine Cottage, a home here for single mothers and their children. The money will be used to put a new roof on the house.

Members of the Amarillo 4th Ward, Amarillo Texas Stake, have spent the past 18 months helping project founder Eveline Rivers prepare the house to receive its first clients. The furnished apartments will be offered at a low rental rate to women who are attending college and attempting to better their lives and the lives of their children. The house, which needed a lot of renovation, was turned into six apartments.
