New stake presidencies

A new stake has been created in Iowa.

The Iowa City Iowa Stake, which includes the Iowa City 1st, 2nd and 4th, Muscatine and Ottumwa wards and the Belle Plaine, Fairfield, Iowa City 3rd (young single adults) and Washington branches, has been created by Elder Donald L. Staheli of the Seventy.

Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in New Zealand, Peru and Portugal, and in California, Idaho, Iowa and Texas.

IOWA CITY IOWA STAKE: (June 10, 2001) Created from the Cedar Rapids Iowa, Davenport Iowa, Des Moines Iowa and Nauvoo Illinois Stakes. President — Cordell E. Jeppsen, 52, assistant to the dean at University of Iowa Continuing Education; wife, Joyce Lorene Lewis Jeppsen. Counselors — Eric Gordon Andersen, 51, professor of law at University of Iowa; wife, Catherine Hardy Andersen.
