Sister Elaine S. Dalton biography

Family: Born Nov. 1, 1946, in Ogden, Utah, to Melvin L. and Emma Martin Schwartz; married Stephen E. Dalton Sept. 13, 1968, in the Salt Lake Temple; five children, Matthew (Sheri), Zachary (Amy), Emi (Steve) Edgley, Jess, Jon (Kathy), Chad (serving in the Chile Antofagasta Mission); three grandchildren.

Education: Graduated from BYU with bachelor's degree in English education with secondary teaching certificate, 1969.

Profession: Full-time homemaker.

Church Service:Member of Young Women general board from 1997-2002; former stake Young Women president, Laurel adviser, ward Primary president's counselor, Sunday School teacher, and adviser to three young single adult ward Relief Society presidencies, and executive secretary to Lambda Delta Sigma (LDS sorority).
