Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1; the assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:
Richard and Sheryl Bangerter
Richard Sherman Bangerter, 50, Parrish Canyon Ward, Centerville Utah Stake; president/owner, Bangerter Construction, Roofing; high priests quorum instructor, former stake mission president's counselor, high councilor, bishop's counselor, ward and stake Young Men presidents' counselor; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Howard and Mildred Pauline Jones Bangerter. Married Sheryl Wood, five children.
She is a ward newsletter editor and has served as Young Women president, ward preparedness specialist, Primary music leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. She was born in Ontario, Ore., to Don Porter and Flora Burton Wood.
Grant and Avis Brimhall
Grant R Brimhall, 64, Thousand Oaks 4th Ward, Thousand Oaks California Stake; managing director of MBIA Muniservices Co.; a patriarch, he has served as regional representative, stake president, high councilor and bishop; born in Taylor, Ariz., to Logan and Mary Hatch Brimhall. Married Avis Marie Ardian, six children.
She is a former Relief Society instructor, seminary instructor, Relief Society president's counselor and Young Single Adults adviser. She was born in Burbank, Calif., to David William and Laura Anna Farnsworth Ardian.
Sidney and Susan Marie Goodrich
Sidney D. Goodrich, 53, Ranier Ward, Ranier Oregon Stake; dentist; temple ordinance worker and former stake president's counselor, stake mission president, high councilor and bishop; born in Vernal, Utah, to Lowe and Rhea Roberts Goodrich. Married Susan Marie Woerndle, four children.
She is Relief Society president and former family history director, gospel doctrine teacher, ward accompanist and seminary teacher. She was born in Portland, Ore., to John and Betty Marie Johnson Woerndle.
Julia and Gene Moffitt

Married Julia Lee Johnson, six children.
She is activities committee co-chairman, and former Young Women president, Relief Society president's counselor and Junior Sunday School coordinator. She was born in Murray, Utah, to Andrew and Joyce Vivan Blommquist Johnson.
