ROSTOV, Russia — Missionaries serving in the Shakhty Branch of the Russia Rostov Mission were interested in helping the young men of the branch use their time to provide service.
Drawing on training from his mother, Elder Spencer Lewis of Sweet Home, Ore., suggested tying quilts. Using quilting frames borrowed from the mission home, the young men learned to tie quilts. They were pleased with their accomplishment, but proved more excited as they delivered the quilts to people in need during the cold winter.
