Location: Corner of Espaa and Brasilia streets, Asuncion, Paraguay.

Temple Presidency: John J. Whetten, president; Abilio Isabelino Samaniego de Valle and Bruno Rodriguez Gayozo, counselors.

Rooms: Two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, baptistry, celestial room.

Exterior: Light gray Asa Branca Brazilian granite, topped by a gold-leafed statue of Angel Moroni.

Size: 10,700 square feet.

Architect: Eduardo Signorelli.

Contractor: Temple Construction Department, with Gonzalez, Acosta & Wood S.A. as construction managers.

District: Ten stakes and 19 districts in Paraguay and several Argentine provinces.

Pertinent facts: Announced April 3, 2000; groundbreaking held Feb. 3, 2001, by Elder Jay E. Jensen of the Seventy; open house held May 4-11, 2002, except Sunday, May 5, and attended by 22,483; dedicated May 19, 2002, by President Gordon B. Hinckley in four sessions with 6,199 attending, and opened for ordinance work May 20, 2002.
