Minnie Preece Burton, 95, wife of the late Elder Theodore M. Burton, a former member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, died June 9, 2002, in Salt Lake City. Sister Burton accompanied her husband when he served as West German Mission president, European Mission president and as European Area supervisor. She also served on the Primary general board from 1964-1971.
Karma Lois Christiansen Huntsman, 70, who served with her husband, Dale J. Huntsman, when he presided over the Texas San Antonio Mission from 1986-1989, died June 12, 2002, in Richfield, Utah.
Elder Ta'avili Joseph Samuel Pollard, 21, serving in the Zimbabwe Harare Mission, died May 13, 2002, in a car accident outside Harare. Elder Pollard was a member of the Oxnard 4th Ward, Camarillo California Stake.
