Twelve new directors of visitors centers, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about Jan. 15. They are:
Lloyd Austin Burton, 63; Mormon Battalion Historic Site, in San Diego, Calif.; Roosevelt 4th Ward, Roosevelt Utah Stake; currently serving as a missionary in the California San Diego Mission; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, elders quorum president and missionary in the California Mission. Retired from Duchesne County School District. Born in Roosevelt, Utah, to Leon M. and Edith Hanberg Burton. Married Mary Lee Mays, three children.
Currently serving a full-time mission with her husband, Sister Burton is a former temple ordinance worker, temple organist, ward Relief Society and Young Women president and ward family history consultant. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Onas Lee and Mary E. Quist Mays.
Jesse LeRoy Christensen, 63; Washington D.C. Visitors Center; Orchard Ward, Farmington Utah Oakridge Stake; former Area Authority Seventy, president of the Canada Winnipeg Mission, stake president, counselor in a stake presidency and bishop. Director of the Church Educational System in Honolulu, Hawaii. Born in Afton, Wyo., to LeRoy and Ruby Baldwin Christensen. Married Laurie Ann Palmer, nine children.

Sister Christensen served with her husband when he was a mission president in Canada. She is a former Relief Society enrichment leader, Sunday School teacher, Relief Society chorister, ward young single adult adviser and Church Service missionary. Born in Farragut, Idaho, to Lawrence Robert and Juanita Jo Greeg Mitchell Palmer.
Jay Reid Geddes, 73; Hawaii Temple Visitors Center; Saratoga Ward, Saratoga California Stake; ward missionary and temple ordinance worker; former regional welfare agent, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and counselor in a bishopric. Retired professor at San Jose State University. Born in Stillwater, Okla., to Grant and Nona B. Jacobsen Geddes. Married Sondra Alene Hatch, three children.

A ward missionary and temple ordinance worker, Sister Geddes is a former ward Primary president, counselor in ward Relief Society and Young Women presidencies, ward librarian and stake missionary. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to John Roberts and Carma M. Thatcher Hatch.
Lynn E Haskell, 67; Cove Fort (Utah) Historic Site; Riverwoods Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont North Stake; ward clerk; former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, branch president, Sunday School teacher and missionary in the New Zealand South Mission. Teacher in Granite School District. Born in Ely, Nev., to Arnold Elonzo and Ida Harward Haskell. Married Karen Naoma Rydman, seven children.

A ward music chairman, Sister Haskell is a former stake Relief Society board member, ward Primary president, Young Women and Primary teacher and ward chorister. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arthur Emil and Naoma Kistie Brown Rydman.
John Russell Hoffman, 62; Mexico City Mexico Temple Visitors Center; Farmington 8th Ward, Farmington Utah North Stake; instructor in a correctional facility branch; former counselor in a mission presidency, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric and ward executive secretary. Instructor of International Marketing at Weber State University. Born in Ogden, Utah, to John Russell and Dorothy Dean Hoggan Hoffman. Married Linda Call, four children.

Wallace Eldean Holliday, 73; Mormon Handcart Historic Site (Martin's Cove); Preston 5th Ward, Franklin Idaho Stake; sealer and temple ordinance worker in the Logan Utah Temple; former counselor in a temple presidency, president of the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission, regional representative, stake president and missionary. Retired business owner. Born in Preston, Idaho, to Wallace C. and Eudora Jensen Holliday. Married Peggy Christensen, seven children.

A temple ordinance worker, Sister Holliday served with her husband when he was a mission president in Pennsylvania. She is a former assistant to the matron, ward Relief Society president, counselor in ward Young Women and Primary presidencies and missionary. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Ervin and Violet Wilcox Christensen.
Milo Richard LeBaron Jr., 72; Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission; Enrose Ward, Mesa Arizona Central Stake; sealer and ordinance worker in the Mesa Arizona Temple; former director of the Arizona Temple Visitors Center, president of the California Los Angeles Mission, counselor in a mission presidency, bishop and high priests group leader assistant. Retired accountant. Born in Mesa, Ariz., to Milo Richard and Laura Wanda Hill LeBaron. Married Donna May Brinton, six children.

A temple ordinance worker and inservice leader, Sister LeBaron served with her husband when he served as director of a visitors center and as a mission president in California. She is a former stake Primary president, ward Relief Society and Young Women president and temple missionary. Born in Mesa, Ariz., to Van Buren and Vida Robison Driggs Brinton.
Tim Donald Martin, 59; St. George Visitors Center; Great Falls Ward, McLean Virginia Stake; former president of the Philippines Naga Mission, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and branch president. Retired from Tim D. Martin & Associates. Born in Fresno, Calif., to Donald James and Marcene Mae Martin. Married Deanna Dutton, six children.

James Russell Walker, 65; Liberty Jail Historic Site; Ensign 1st Ward, Salt Lake Ensign Stake; former stake executive secretary, district president, high councilor, bishop and counselor in a bishopric. Retired professor at BYU-Hawaii. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to James Harris and Beth Russell Walker. Married Sharon Lee Woolf, six children.
