New temple presidents

Carl William Bacon, 70, Edgemont 4th Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont Stake, called as president of the Provo Utah Temple, succeeding President Jay M. Smith. His wife, Betty Carolyn Schade Bacon, will serve as temple matron. President Bacon is a former Area Authority Seventy, mission and stake president and bishop. He is a former director of BYU development office, and is executive director of America's Freedom Festival and a land developer. He was born in Hollywood, Calif., to Samuel Kenneth and Dorothy Paul Bacon.

Sister Bacon is a former Young Women and Primary president's counselor, stake Relief Society president's counselor and family history worker. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Marlon Fredrick and Nell Jackson Schade.

Billy Joe Eaves, 65, Nashville 2nd Ward, Nashville Tennessee Stake; called as president of the Nashville Tennessee Temple; succeeding President Buryl Gene McClurg. President Eaves' wife, Marianne Sue Keener Eaves, assistant to the matron, will serve as temple matron. President Eaves, temple president's counselor, is a former stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, stake clerk and bishop. He is a certified public accountant and small business owner. He was born in Elkmont, Ala., to John H. and Martha L. Hargrove Eaves.

Sister Eaves, assistant to the matron, is a former stake Relief Society president, and stake and ward Young Women president. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Jesse Winston and Ann Marie Crook Keener.

Thomas Scott Hendricks, 58, Amarillo 1st Ward, Amarillo Texas Stake; called as president of the Lubbock Texas Temple; succeeding President Jay B. Jensen. President Hendricks' wife, Marian Olsen Hendricks, will serve as temple matron. President Hendricks, temple president's counselor, is a former mission president's counselor, stake president, counselor in stake presidencies and bishop. He is retired. He was born in Logan, Utah, to Thomas Scott and Lois Lavon Muse Hendricks.

Sister Hendricks, assistant to the matron, is a former stake Primary president, counselor in a stake Young Women presidency and ward Relief Society presidency and ward Young Women adviser. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Dale Cameron and Beth Ballard Olsen.

Harold Harrison Hiskey, 72, Cedar City 13th Ward, Cedar City Utah West Stake; called as president of the St. George Utah Temple; succeeding President L. David Muir. President Hiskey's wife, Mona Ellett Hiskey, will serve as temple matron. A patriarch and temple ordinance worker, President Hiskey is a former stake and district president, bishop and counselor. He is a retired economics professor and administrator at Utah State University. He was born in Bicknell, Utah, to Joseph Benjamin and Luva Forsyth Hiskey.

A temple ordinance worker, Sister Hiskey is a former ward Relief Society and Young Women president, chorister and teacher. She was born in Bicknell, Utah, to Rulon Shiner and Bertha Amanda Durfey Ellett.

Thomas Albert Holt, 65, St. Paul Ward, St. Paul Minnesota Stake, called as president of the St. Paul Minnesota Temple, succeeding President Kayland Evan Call. President Holt's wife, Bonnie Faye Anderson Holt, will serve as temple matron. President Holt is a former Area Authority Seventy, mission president, regional representative and stake president. He is a retired president and CEO of Fiscal Systems Inc. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to A. Palmer and Martha Electa (Dorothy) Porter Holt.

Sister Holt is a former stake Relief Society president's counselor, seminary teacher, counselor to ward Primary and Relief Society president, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Washington, D.C., to Wendyl and Helen LaVon Bemendereer Anderson.

Grant Elggren Marsh, 71, Greenwood Village Ward, Denver Colorado Stake, called as president of the Denver Colorado Temple, succeeding President Lee S. Carlson. President Marsh's wife, Edith Thornton Rockwood Marsh, will serve as temple matron. President Marsh is a former president of the Denver Colorado Temple, regional representative, stake president and bishop. He is a semi-retired real estate developer. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to M. Thirl and Mary Elggren Marsh.

Sister Marsh is a former seminary, Know Your Religion and BYU Education Week instructor, and humanitarian missionary to Thailand. She was born in Lansing, Mich., to Lewis M. and Lois Smothers Thornton. Her first husband, Philip Dean Rockwood, died in 1977.

Ashton Harvey Taylor, 64, El Paso 8th Ward, El Paso Texas Stake; called as president of the Ciudad Juarez Mexico Temple; succeeding President Gerald Merrell Pratt. President Taylor's wife, Naomi June Hollie Taylor, will serve as temple matron. A temple ordinance worker and regional employment coordinator, President Taylor is a former mission president, seventies president and high priests group leader. He is a retired pecan farmer and food processor.

Sister Taylor, who served with her husband when he was a mission president, is a temple ordinance worker. She is a former stake family history consultant, ward Relief Society president and counselor in ward Relief Society presidencies.
