Lowell M. Snow biography

Family: Born Jan. 2, 1944, at St. George, Utah, to Rulon and Marian Miller Snow; married Tamara Means on Sept. 4, 1966, in the Los Angeles Temple; children (and spouses): Christopher (Christa), Sean (Melinda), Ryan (Aime), Jared (Angela), Erin Weist (Michael); four grandsons and eight granddaughters.

Education: Bachelor's degree in life sciences from BYU; earned Master's degree in education, guidance and counseling from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., while serving in U.S. Army in Berlin; juris doctorate from University of Utah.

Employment: Corporate and self-employed attorney.

Church service: Former Area Seventy, area executive secretary, director, with wife, of Church hosting; Temple Square Mission president, 1997-99; president of the Mississippi Jackson Mission, 1982-85; and counselor in two stake presidencies; stake and ward Young Men president; bishop; bishop's counselor; branch president; and full-time missionary in West Germany.

Military service: Commissioned officer in United States Army stationed in Berlin, Germany, during Vietnam War.
