Changes in missions in two areas of the world have been announced:
The fifth mission in the Mexico City area is being formed by a division of the Mexico City South Mission, and a realignment of the other four Mexico City missions. The Mexico Cuernavaca Mission will open around July 1.
The new mission reflects the growing missionary activity in an area served by nearly 800 missionaries, allowing for better administration of Church affairs. More than 180,000 members reside within the 60 stakes and two districts of the five-mission area.
The Spain Las Palmas Mission, comprising the Canary Islands off the northwestern coast of Africa, will be consolidated with the Spain Malaga Mission, beginning July 1.

The 3,500 members organized in three districts of the Las Palmas mission will be added to the nearly 7,000 members divided among three stakes in the Malaga mission.
