New temple presidents

The First Presidency announced this week the callings of five new temple presidents and matrons.

Dennis K. Brown, 61, Piney Creek Ward, Denver Colorado Stake; Denver Colorado Temple, succeeding Grant E. Marsh. President Brown's wife, Kathleen Ann Taylor Brown, will serve as temple matron.

President Brown is a counselor in the Denver temple presidency; former Sunday School teacher, president of France Paris Mission, counselor in stake presidency, bishop, counselor in bishopric and ward executive secretary. Management consultant with Hein & Associates. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Keith C. and Geneva Burdett Brown.

Sister Brown is a temple ordinance worker and served with her husband when he was a mission president; former stake and ward Primary president, member of stake Relief Society presidency and ward Young Women presidency. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Eldin V. and Betty Parry Taylor.

N. Earl Deschamps, 70, Heather Ridge Ward, Arapaho Colorado Stake; Buenos Aires Argentina Temple, succeeding Angel J. Sule. President Deschamps' wife, Judith Ann McCarty Deschamps, will serve as temple matron.

President Deschamps is a former temple missionary and temple president's counselor in the Cochabamba Bolivia Temple, regional representative, president of the Spain Madrid Mission, high councilor, bishop, counselor in bishopric, temple sealer and counselor in stake presidency. Retired area director for the Church Educational System. Born in Malad, Idaho, to Nello and Kathryne Price Deschamps.

Sister Deschamps, who served with her husband when he was mission president, is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, assistant to the matron and temple missionary in the Cochabamba Bolivia Temple, stake missionary, ward Primary president, gospel doctrine teacher, worker in stake family record extraction program and temple ordinance worker. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frederick T. and Elizabeth R. Ballstaedt McCarty.

Donald S. Hansen, 69, Willow Park Ward; Calgary Alberta South Stake; Cardston Alberta Temple, succeeding Lynn A. Rosenvall. President Hansen's wife, Judith Lundrigan Hansen, will serve as temple matron.

President Hansen is a sealer in the Cardston Alberta Temple and temple ordinance worker; former stake president, counselor in stake presidency, bishop and high councilor. He is a retired psychologist with the Calgary Board of Education. Born in Trail, British Columbia, to Sverre and Edith Fern Burbank Hansen.

Sister Hansen is a temple ordinance worker; former ward Relief Society president, Sunday School teacher, ward Primary president and teacher, member of stake Relief Society presidency, Relief Society teacher and ward Young Women president. Born in Cardston, Alberta, to William A. and Grace Louisa Burt Lundrigan.

Benjamin I. Martinez, 71, Bountiful 7th Ward; Bountiful Utah South Stake; Guatemala City Guatemala Temple, succeeding Gilbert I. Sandberg. President Martinez's wife, Meredith Austin Martinez, will serve as temple matron.

President Martinez is a former high priests group leader, regional representative, high councilor, gospel doctrine teacher, bishop, president of Mexico Merida Mission and member of Provo Missionary Training Center presidency. Retired international management consultant and Church Educational System instructor. Born in Yuba City, Calif., to Benjamin E. and Celia Urbana Martinez.

Sister Martinez, who served with her husband when he was mission president, is a former counselor in stake and ward Relief Society and Young Women presidencies, Sunday School teacher, Young Women president, Relief Society teacher and family history consultant. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to John W. and Ruth Passey Austin.

Ralph E. Siebach, 72, Brookville Branch, Brookville Pennsylvania District; Palmyra New York Temple, succeeding Howard C. Sharp. President Siebach's wife, Muriel Audrey Percy Young Siebach will serve as temple matron.

President Siebach is a former counselor in mission presidencies, president of the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission, district president, stake president and counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, member of district mission presidency and branch president. Retired executive with PPG Industries. Born in Gloversville, N.Y., to Rudolf Ernst and Frieda Lina Oertel Siebach.

Sister Siebach, who served with her husband when he was mission president, is a former ward Relief Society president, member of district Primary presidency, stake and ward Primary president and Primary teacher. Born in Gloversville, N.Y., to Leslie Walter and Audrey Belle Stickland Young.
